Our Story
At 56 Thai Cafe, every dish has a story — starting with our name.
The “56” comes from California State Route 56, the highway that passes right by our cozy little spot in Torrey Highlands. We’re a convenient stop for neighbors, friends, and travelers, but more than that, we’re a place to slow down and feel at home.
“Thai” reflects our roots — sharing authentic Thai flavors and home-cooked recipes passed down through generations. But we don’t stop there. We love to add our creative touches, offering more than just traditional Thai cuisine. You’ll also find carefully crafted boba drinks, made with attention to detail and premium ingredients, along with fun desserts and daily chef specials that keep things fresh and exciting.
We call ourselves a “Cafe” because we want you to feel welcome, relaxed, and unhurried. Our space is minimalist and cozy, designed for comfort and relaxation. Every dish — whether it’s a steaming bowl of noodles, a fragrant curry, or a refreshing drink — is made in small batches, with care, and with love.
Here, you’re not just another customer. You’re part of our table. And at our table, there’s always room for good food, good drinks, and good company.
